No and no. I have had a couple of jobs with no problems in both the US and SK.

Yes, my life is perfect. I never have any problems. I never have in the past either.

In 5 years here I have only had one problem so i quit that day and got a release letter....turned out very well as my next position i got paid more and it is more professional....

I worked in japan, never a problem
I worked in Europe, never a problem(well one but that was my own fault)
I worked in Australia, never a big problem

Problems I have are mostly due to inefficiency of general administration, lack of planning, or putting things off until the last minute. Stuff like letting me know about my vacation one day before it actually happens -- no information in a timely manner.

The above situations drive me nuts, even after living here for years.

My current boss promises things she can't deliver, and then finds some way to say I misunderstood.

Oh, and sometimes people here just say, "no" if they don't know the correct answer. Even if "no" is the incorrect answer.


I have tried to learn to live with it, and concentrate on more positive things. Otherwise, I find myself spiraling downward into an angry pit of resentment. That's about the time when some Korean guy says something rude to my girlfriend when we're holding hands. It's hard not to fight back.

I would honestly say that I have no real problems to speak of, aside from the occasional problem child. And that's not the school's fault.

I would say the majority of problems I've had in Korea have stemmed from personal issues.

None worth mentioning; a few more in the States, but nothing real big.

Worked one job here for almost 5 years until a week ago or so.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "problems". Not getting paid on time is a problem. Having my schedule changed at the last minute is not a problem.

All I can say is that I encountered more problems living at home than I do in Korea. Much safer and generally more polite here.

My biggest problem living in Korea has been mold in my apartment.

It's good to know some people are getting along just fine. Alot of the problems I have noticed people complaining about are not much different than some of the problems a teacher could encounter working at a school here. The only is that when you attach a normal problem to a different culture, I guess that same problem can be much worse.
