About 7 years ago a bunch of highschool boys took a middle school girl back to one of them's home and have a little fun using a video camera. One of them then got the idea to distribute the tape and they eventually got caught. It's the best hard core porn action in Korea before webcams took over.

Is there a reason why this thread has reached 5 pages and no one has mentioned 2009:Lost Memories? Seriously, I saw it last night, and I am waffling between "Wow, what an interesting premise for a movie!" and "Damn, I knew what was going to happen less than halfway through." The agents were hot too....

I've been watching some korean movies lately and two that stick out in my mind are "the Tutor" and "Friend". THe tutor is pretty funny, and "friend" has a good story although it has one pretty violent scene in it.

I saw "Memories Of A Murder" and thought it was great. It's a true story of several murders up around Kyongido that took place about ten years ago. The killer was never found, but the re enactment of the story was interesting in that we get a good insight into Korean culture. The movie didn't hide anything, and it was good to see that the only solid clue to-wards finding the real killer came from a policewoman.

I dont know the name of it, but I saw a movie last night. It has a famous Korean singer in it. It's about a woman who stalks a man. On the cover, it has some gigantic woman trashing a city.

Man was it ever funny!! Even without understandin much of it.

It's all about "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance". What it lacks in happiness and realism, it totally makes up for in wicked ambience. It won't make you say "wow, that's deep...", but it will make you say "damn, that's harsh".

My favourites that I can remember are :

Oasis, it is wonderful. I too was slapping the floor in frustration, I hurt my stomach muscles with the nerves of it all.
I also liked Peppermint candy and Green Fish, all by the same director, the Minister for Culture and Tourism, Yi Chang Dong, I think his name is..? he also wrote the screenplay for "To the Starry Island". Anyone seen that?

I loved The Way Home. I think I started crying about 15 minutes into it and just like Cedar was still bawling 10 minutes after it ended. I was in DVD bang, a mess, very embarrassing!

O! SuJong was OK, same with Turning Gate, you really have to be in that mood though.

Jeonju Film festival had a series of short films for their opening piece this year, it was called "If you Were Me" (I think) about human rights abuses in Korea. Very interesting, but I don't know if it's out on DVD.

The don't think the serial killer film hasn't been released on DVD yet. Anyone know for sure?

chingu was a great flick.

The way home was a very simple yet powerful movie, that grandmother was great.

Saving my hubby was pretty good too, funny and sad.

Musa was good as Epic movies go.

Barking Dogs never bite was good also.

The Foul King was awesome as was Attack the Gas Station.

The Little Monk was an interesting story as well.
