As I was enjoying my day this afternoon, 3 losers walk by us carrying beers and screaming rude comments are the locals.
What a bunch of idiots.
We were in MyuonDong, great place for the afternoon and it was ruined by this 3 morons.
It goes to show why the locals look down upon us and why we are thought of as losers.
I know that most of you have only been here less than 2yrs, so don't know how it works yet..but here's a hint...don't be an arrogant asshole!!!

Why were the locals screaming rude comments at the losers? It's got to be hard enough being a loser without the 'locals' screaming rude things at you. No wonder the losers were carrying beers; getting drunk is probably the only thing that keeps them going, what with being a loser and being abused by the locals all the time.

haha yeah, i can totally see that happening. the other night, an american guy comes up to us and starts shaking out hands screaming "American! American" until he shakes my hand and my buddy tells him "he's Canadian" (I'm both actually) to which he replied:
"Ah f@(k him!"
haha, man, some people are real pieces of work!

Both (only twice....) times I've had problems with crazy koreans on the subway, there is invariably a parade of apologies from the other passengers after the jerk leaves. Maybe you could walk 20 yards behind them and apologize to everyone.

Not such a bad idea. After 4 years here and having learned the subtleties of korean etiquette, I have to say that there are crazies on both sides that wreck any good perceptions built up in seconds. Plenty of rude ajosshis too.
However to focus on the waygooks for a moment- the problem arises when you have newbies here, either military or low class hogwon jockeys who are here for a year or less, have no language abilities or understanding of the culture, letting their hair down like they're on holiday in ibiza. A lot of arrogant & drunken westerner behaviour looks really stupid.
As always, those of us who have invested time here forming good relations with Koreans bear the long term brunt of the backlash.

I'm a complete scumbag - drinker, druggy, violent, racist, sexist, you name it! But at least I can freakin spell! 50 years ago, folks as numb as today's graduates in the West wouldn't have even graduated high school. Pisses me off to no end and I'm gonna become a Muslim extremist.

Check this out for shocking loserness (emphasis is mine)....

What then would you say about our noble employers "KOREANS" and there taste for dog! Do you know how they treat them and kill them?

At least the Japanese fishing for dolphins and whales is legal in there country.

There is something seriously morally wrong with Korean parents spending 200,000 won per month to have their kids taught English by monkeys like the above.
