Don't think history makes you look good enough? That's OK... just rewrite it.

Quote:
The Education Ministry announced yesterday it will revise high school history textbooks shifting the Bronze Age on the Korean Peninsula one millennium ahead.

The government's decision was made amid China's apparent attempts to downplay Korea's ancient period as the communist country has claimed Korean ancient kingdoms as Chinese history.

Honestly, I don't know enough about China or Korea to know who to believe. All I know is that both sides seem to enjoy rewriting history to meet their political agenda and pander to their own feelings of superiority.

Of course when the Japanese do it they're not just intellectual cowards but perpetuating a holocuast.

Can you think of any trio's historiographies you'd have to set your BS detector higher for than China's, Korea's, and Japan's?

I'm disappointed, but not surprised. They've literally rewritten their own history, based on the discovery of a few bronze pots, by a thousand years, so they can prop up the lie of Korea's mythical "5,000 years of history."

I'll be interested to see what non-Korean historians have to say about these developments.
