I will be leaving my dedicated server up for a few days. Currently, it is set at 14 players max and the room is full! If you want to jump in and play (you can download F.E.A.R. combat - multiplayer online for free), the name of my server is !!!!!BEGINNERS ONLY!!!!!. Currently, I have myself, SirFink, and Bulsajo that have played. Jump on in if your rig can handle it. Virtually zero lag!!!!

download the 1.7, then, after you install it, it'll update automatically to 1.8.

| I can't install the 1.08 update...keeps telling me I don't have FEAR installed. I have FEAR Combat installed in the default directory. I tried with both the US and The UK versions. Then I reinstalled and tried again. Nothing. Do you need to have the original game, too? |

No, just download the game. Then install it where it wants to install. Then, start the game by pressing multiplayer. Then it will prompt you to update. |

T'was fun but I am so damn rusty 
I haven't Multi Fpsed in a year.. I've played FPS' but only single player and thats not the same thing.
My comp completly chokes as well. It ran hell of a lot better in xp64 Fear performance in Vista is horible..
Although I must say the game looks fantastic much better then q4 or any other fps. |

Yeah, it's great. I have a friend coming over around 5pm today. I have to computers at my house that can handle FEAR, so, we will be tearing it up again. Come on in all! Today, 5pm! |

I do.
Off of the same machine, I run the dedicated server AND play FEAR at the same time, hence why my ping is always at 0 or 1. |

I have had that once or twice. Just close down and restart. Let me know if you are going to play now. there are 10 people in the rooma nd I'll join if you are going to be there. |
