I've searched the boards and couldn't find an answer so sorry if this has been covered before.
My brother is interested in coming to Korea to learn Korean. He'd like to work while he's here but he's not a college grad. How feasible would be for him to get an online degree from distance learning and get work in Korea?? Does anybody know how difficult it would be for him to get a decent job with that kind of degree?
Thanks for your responses... |

I think if you are a student here on a student visa you can work a certain number of hours while you are studying.

MK,
I agree with "ilovedbt". When I studied Korea full-time several of my classmates (most had little to no college education) worked legally. They worked at hakwons for about 14 hours per week. The university where I studied helped them out with the documentation and what-not (regarding immi). Contact the school he'll study at...they'll probably help with the info.
However, my advice...unless money is a serious issue, don't work. He'll be busy enough with classes and what-not related to class. Work, for a noob, will take so much out of him that his learning will plummet.
!shoosh,
