I am from Massachusetts, and while I can deal with heat in the summer, I LOVE snow. I was wondering if Korea gets much snow, and if so, in what regions?

The NE coast gets the most, the South gets almost none. The middle and western parts get some, but not as much as you are used to.

Exactly what I was gonna say.

But I would add that Jeju off the southwest coast gets a bit more snow and a lot more rain than expected in winter given how far south they are, said by locals to be because of Halla mountain, an extinct volcano which weather systems hit and rise and dump their load from.

On the south coast there really isn't any winter. There are still four seasons - spring, summer, fall, and wet. I agree, it's sad not to have snow which is my reason for working further north this year.

I've been here(Seoul and Ilsan) for two winters now and I'm in serious withdrawal... Sad Sad Sad (Though I got to recharge with a few feet of the white stuff in March and April when I went home last year).

Last year we had two flurries and one 2 inch snowfall that stuck for more than a day. This year we had a small squall that left a few inches on the ground for a couple of days... Sad Sad Sad Sad

Now it's February and there are BUDS on the trees Shocked

'Winter' my a$$!

Or I could just look back at all the information I've stored about climate change over my lifetime and understand the same thing...
