Hello all...

I was hoping to get some info from other motorcycle drivers here on Daves... which bike do you feel is better? The Daelim Daystar or the Hyosung Mirage?

Both companies make a 125cc model... however Hyosung also makes a 250cc model which looks pretty cool. Both bikes have similar styling obviously. I heard that Hyosung partnered with Suzuki to design the Mirage, where as Daelim partnered with Honda.

Any riders out there care to share their impressions?

I'd be interested to hear what others have to say...

Thanks...

Although the Mirage is a prettier bike, the Daystar is more reliable.

The problem with the Mirage is that it has no kickstart and the batteries die very quickly on them.

The Daystar has a kickstart and is known to be very reliable, thus the many Korean "quick service" delivery guys drive them.

I had a 125 cc Mirage and had many problems with it.

Good luck.

I own a Mirage 250 and DCJames is right, but other than that a decent bike.

I've been looking at the Mirage 250cc... but whats this you guys are talking about with the battery?

Why is the battery giving out on so many of these bikes? Are these cases where people have been letting the bike sit for a while and the battery is losing its charge? Or is it just design specific?

I'd really like to pick up a 250cc... but I don't want to be driving outside of town and have the bike give up and die on me in the middle of nowhere.

I really was leaning towards the Hyosung but now I'm not so sure.
