I think the concept of "organic" has yet to reach this fair peninsula.
There are a lot of "farmers markets" though. |

there are organic grocery stores everywhere around seoul. i live in a suburban area and there are 2 within one block of my place. most large supermarkets and department stores also carry organic products. prices are quite a bit higher than you might be used to, it's not mainstream yet. there's also a good labelling system to show how organic something is, there's a thread about it here somewhere...good luck finding it!
i buy milk, eggs, veg, cleaning products, condiments, kimchi, etc., all organic. i don't buy meat 'cause it's really too pricey for me. i haven't managed to find organic peanut butter that isn't insanely overpriced yet either...
good luck!

At the Hyundai Department Store near where I live they have a special section for organic stuff, but just like back home it's way more expensive than regular stuff. I guess it's the same at any department store. |

hmm...expect to pay at least 2 to 3 times more for organic products here in Korea...it is a bitter pill to swallow...but if you are into organics...then maybe you don't mind that too much.
In my travels...I have found the ShinSaeGae department store at the GangNam express bus terminal to be the best...but..as I said above...expensive.

...this is a perfect example...a small jar of organic peanut butter...that might cost $5 or $6 back home...is $15 here...I usually wait until they have a sale ...but this is the same with most products.
Good luck and happy hunting.
P.S. Many Emart stores have an organic section as well...the Korean phrase you may want to learn is...yu gi nong...the konglish term for this is "Well being"...I still get a chuckle out of that one. |

There's a decent place near COEX called "Orga". There's also a pretty good place in Apgu-jeong. PM me if you want specific directions. |
