I was watching that movie; a perfectly fine movie (nice job steve carrell) which sufficiently entertained me....
until they got to the beauty pagents.
I felt so terribly uncomfortable watching that scence. Watching all those creepy...CREEPY looking little 10 year old girls traipse around on the stage like that made me cringe.
Did anyone else feel that way watching that scene? What are you opinions of those things? |

That was a big part of the point of that movie. Even though the family was all really uncomfortable with what she wanted to do, they supported her because it's what family does.
It was a bit wierd to see the girl who played Olive wearing ( a little) makeup at the Oscars the other night, though.

I just saw the movie for the first time this weekend and I agree. While I was watching it, I was thinking "This is who Jon-Benet Ramsay was." Gave me the heebie jeebies. |

AT least she still looks like a kid.
Those freakos were some strange mix; they really reminded me of little people actually. |
