| Coming to Korea I went through recruiters so they set up my plane ticket to Korea. But they booked for me a round trip one year ticket. My school only paid me half for my plane ticket, and the other half upon completion of my contract. But the other day I was talking to another Korean/English teacher, she mentioned that if I wanted to not go straight home afterwards I can booked the tickets to other countries and then go home -- all with the school paying for. But with my open ticket on Korean Air does anyone know if it's possible that I get refund on it? Or should I just do a throw away of the ticket? |

It depends on the restrictions on the open ticket you have.
USUALLY you can pop into the local Korean Air ticket office and change the destination by paying a small fee (20k won or so) and make up any difference between the cost of the 2 tickets.
A travel agent won't be any help but if you DROP IN (not call) at your local KAL office they can fix you up. |
