All of you seem to be sour on the place and complaining about something. Korea is a great place. If you don't like it you can always leave.

Yeah! You poo-poo heads!

I mean, we come all this way to live in YOUR country...there must be SOMETHING good about it.

I'm happy. But I also like to complain. Maybe you never complain about anything but complaining about things around you doesn't mean you hate life here. Most of us just like to grouse. I've groused about life in Windsor, Toronto, Seattle, and now Seoul. I've never been unhappy in any of those places.

Everybody complains too much. I'm sick of it. I should go home if you don't stop it, or you'll get annoyed!

I will be happy this morning. I will be happy until someone stares at me. I will be happy when someone says hello to me. I will be sad when a student has not done the homework assignment. I will be happy when the store clerk greets me kindly. I will be sad when someone knocks on my door trying to sell a piece of God. I will be happy when my favorite TV show comes on. I will be sad when the kid above me decides it's time to play basketball indoors for three hours. I will be happy when that kid goes to bed. Laughing

I will be happy when I check my bank account. I will be happy when I know all my bills are paid, I've saved 3/4 of my salary, and when I realize I made a choice to live here, and that I can choose to be a whiney bit ch about my life and blame Koreans for my sorrows, or I can sack up and take responsibilty for my own life.

Kind of like watching years and years of Ohno re-runs, isn't it?

Sorry to break it to you, but if you want to generalize, Koreans as a whole have got us beat in the whining department!

It's really not that bad here (Dave's)

I think a good majority of posters here realize Korea is fairly decent. BUT, living here you are faced with an incessant barrage of "Korea is so great.... Korea is the best.... 5000 years.....kimchi cures all.... only we have 4 season.... everyone in America loves Korea..." that you develop a need to come on to Dave's and take shots at Korea in order to maintain some sense of reality.

Whenever one of these whiners leaves the country, they post a message from their home country saying "I complained about Korea when I was there, but now that I'm home my life really sucks. I didn't know what I had when I was back there."
