|
|
i know they are out there - women's shoes sized 255 - because I've seen them occasionally (more like rarely ).
i suspect there must be at least one women's shoe store that regularly stocks shoes in size 255 (maybe in a neighborhood of larger footed women! )
does anyone know where there is a consistent, steady supply of shoes sized 255? (US size 8.5)
I'm not interested in department stores or the Marts (E-Mart, Lotte Mart). I'm looking for those boutique like shoe stores that you would find in the subway stations or underground shopping centers that sells shoes for about 10,000 or 20,000 won.
any info will be greatly appreciated

didn't bring enough shoes to korea |

Well, I hardly ever see shoes for ladies that are size 255. You wear the same size as my Korean boyfriend...Some ladies here have had to get men's shoes. It's hard for me to find the smal sizes like 230-235 sometimes, too. I mostly see 240. |

I'm a 255. I buy sneakers here more than anything but I did manage to buy a pair of boots that were 250. I was completely shocked but then again there isn't a universal size system here and some designers are slightly off, so you have a bit of wiggle room in the shoe department.
Good luck! |

thought I'd tag along on this thread. I have a similar problem. I need women's shoes in a 260-265 (American size 10). I found a pair of 265 heels once 3 years ago in Itaewon. They were about 90K won and were narrow as all get out. I had to give them to a friend as wide widths are much more my friend than narrows.
If anyone finds the stores that sell 255s let me know if you see 260s as well. Thanks. |

Yeah I'm having most of my heel collection sent to me, and I tend to buy men's tennis shoes, but occasionally you want something new that you can actually try on without having to pay shipping costs and then sending them back if it doesn't fit I'll keep looking. It's become really friggin expensive to ship things from the states, so I don't know how many of my shoes and extra things will actually manage to make it here. |

Itaewon should be the goldmine for at least 255s. I know a former poster here had a gorgeous pair of boots custom made in the 'won for about 100,000 so that might be worth looking into too. |

Kind of like it drops off at 10 at home. Now you can sometimes find them, but most manufacturers don't bother with over 10 and when they do they don't do half sizes or narrow widths (says an 11.5 AA who tried on every single pair of shoes over size 10 in my city before coming. ) |

Bring a shoe maker a photo of the shoes you want. Choose the type of leather you want and the colors you prefer, pick it up custom made 3 days later. Generally about 60,000 for heels, sandals or closed shoes. Boots start at about 100,000. |

Damn!
Where? How? What kind of quality? And can you recommend a specific cobbler (I think I have the right term )? That would just about kick a$s on several levels. |
