I signed a 4 month contract for a school in Changwon, when I arrived there this past Saturday, my recruiter told me that my contract had been cancelled and none of my visa stuff was taken care of. He sent me to another school, but he neglected to tell them about the fact that I could only stay for 4 months. Also he has not sent my documents yet. Because they couldn't guarantee my visa they were just making me wait. The recruiter, Lee Young Won, proceeded to ignore all phone calls and e-mails from both me and the school. Thankfully now I'm in a better situation. But he has been awful. When I said I was going to call the labor board about the old school. He laughed at me and dared me to try.

You are working illegally. if you go to the labor board you are exposing yourself and that is why he is laughing at you as you will be the one who is fined....

If you have money just disappear. Find another job here, get your visa and then start....

You are setting yourself up for a big fall both financially and mentally...

If I had signed a contract, I wouldn't move anywhere without the visa in my hand. Why give up a current apartment and find out there's nothing waiting for me on the other end?

I have spoken to Lee Young Won many times. He is not just a recruiter but also a Director of a Hogwan.

I was actually recommended to use Lee Young Won by a teacher who worked in Korea for 4 years.
