Do you own a suit and do you wear it to work. How often. Is it an obligatory bit of wardrobe?
I ain't got one and would rather not wear one to work. Shirt and tie is the best I can do. |

I only wear my suit to work in special occasions at the school such as graduation or when the parents attend open classes.
Other than that, I will wear it to job interviews, weddings, or formal events. |

There seems to be a missing option between regularly and never. * Yes i own a suit and wear it sometimes *
I wear mine, a couple of them, mostly at special functions as chachee99 mentioned, but it's not the norm. So I can't say it's a regular thing but not never either.
Regularly once a month or so ... sure |

I have several suits and wear one to work every day (not the same one, heh). I'll switch to dress shirts or blouses and khakis when it warms up. I'm more comfortable in pants so I generally don't wear dresses to work although they're nice at other times. |

My tip is to look at your co-workers and then dress slightly better than them!!
Never underestimate how much Koreans judge a person by how they dress. |

I bought a suit because the supervisor was going to introduce me to the principal of the elementary school.
The supervisor has forgotten about that, and I'm not going to remind him. |

2 double breasted suits
2 three piece suits
3 regular suits
One more suit and I'll be set as I'll be able to wear a different suit each working day for two weeks. I've also got enough good ties to wear a different tie each working day for 3 months. |

I don't own a suit. In fact, I've only worn one once in my life and I'm waaay past 40. I've also never ever worn a "shirt and tie" except for that one day I wore the suit. (I do, owever, own a tuxedo, but that was from my brief period singing bass in a choir.)
I would never work for a place that required even so much as a tie. I don't know how to tie a Windsor knot and anyways the whole suit thing makes me want to PHUCKING PUKE. I have hated the look of suits since I first laid eyes on one at the age of four or so. I think that people look like idiots in suits. This is 2007, and suits are in a precarious position. For at least fifteen or twenty years now, it has been possible to look completely respectable and well-dressed with carefully chosen "smart casual" styles, and this has been my route.
In all the time I've been in Korea I've only met one teacher with a tie, Korean or otherwise, and he worked for a really NASTY hogwon.
The sight of ANYONE in a tie immediately raises my BS detectors (but believe me, that's only one of many, many things that does). |

Do you always wear the white makeup with the purple suit?
Four suits and one suitcoat here. Good enough, since I work 4 days a week. I just alternate days the following week. I wore the gray mafia-style silk suit yesterday. Hahha. I should get some more ties, though. |
