I just moved to Incheon and I live in Yeonsugu, I must have gone to 6 different ATMs and I cant seem to find one that works. My debit card isnt a Visa or Mastercard its just a regular one with the little Cirrus and Star logo's on the back. Is there a specific one that will work or am I just SOL?

try KEB and look for the words "international ATM" in English on a little card/sticker in the ATM cubicle thing. Cirrus/Star is one of the cards that works on them but they can be few and far between. Where I live at the banks within a 10 min walk (quite a few really) there's only one bank with one ATM that will work with my US ATM card. Smile

There's one in the basement of Bupyoung Station.

If you use it, when it asks you what type of card it is, press credit card (even though it's not)

Sorry correction to what I said earlier, it's not an International ATM but a global ATM that you should look for, or at least that's what KEB calls it. Though the one I go to doesn't seem to want to read my card, it worked the first time I tried it but now it doesn't want to recognize it. Sad

Thanks for the help, on my way into Seoul yesterday I stopped in Bupyeong station and tried that you mentioned and it worked. So thanks for the heads up.

I waked probably 10 miles yesterday down the streets of Busan looking for an ATM that would accept my Canadian ATM card (PLUS network). KB*, no go. KEB, CitiFinancial, BusanBank, still no go. Came upon the Choryang 'shopping disstrict for Foreigners'. Walked into 7-11. Nondescript ATM machine, with a little icon in the lower right hand corner that says 'Foreign Card'. Push that button, swipe away. Money. Literally.
