what is the likelihood of u puking after a proper session of drinking soju the way it's supposed to be? i.e. with food

Never hurled yet, drink it on an empty stomach alot though. Maybe I'd puke it if I had it with food more often.

I hear a lot of puking noises in my building. I live around a lot of Korean students. They'd be the ones to ask.

It's been a long time -- years and years -- since I drank soju to the point of retching... to the point of sacrificing my soul at the porcelain alter. I drank it like a veteran the first 10 or 12 times I had it. Drank my Korean hosts stupid. I never held back, it was sugar water to me. Then came the fateful, inevitable "bad soju experience", and from then on I was in the "sometimes" poll option.

Except for a few crazy soju kettle nights with the funky soju c�cktails, I've only ever had it with anju and never soju by itself. Unless you're a janitor or bus driver, soju's just not meant to be consumed for the sheer merriment of it.

Not sure if this is a boast or a confession, but it used to be said of me (when I worked for Koreans):
"He hasn't had shiksa in 10 years. Every meal he eats is anju"

100% likely because I make myself puke it up to avoid that next day headache

if I have a good amount of beer with it..I'll puke everytime...even if I drink the soju first....with tequila though I can drink it with beer all night and not have a problem.....

I've been told that soju contians formhaldehyde (sp?)

Anyone know if this is true or not... wouldn't surprise me, it's one of the worst tasting 'drinks' on the planet.
