Do any of you have income from doing business online? (affiliate marketing, advertising income from your own websites, spam, etc)

I'm coming to Korea this summer and I'm not sure how my online income will factor in to everything. Is generating revenue online illegal with the typical visa that ESL teachers have, which allows you only one job?

I don't know about that but my thread is close enouigh so I won't start a new one: does anyone here teach ESL online? I've seen a few sites that offer that and am thinking of doing it but I'd first like to hear from someone who does.

To the OP....

I am a teacher here in korea by day and a daytrader by "night" and i make a lot of money online and its not a problem because a) it doesnt interfere with my teaching and b) I dont deposit my income from trading in my Korean account

As long as you follow those two rules, you'll be fine and nobody here will even know what you do online

Before you come to Korea , get an account with an offshore bank like HSBC and deposit your online income there...then you can access it from anywhere....even Korea

My online income goes into my Canadian bank account. I pay income tax on it with my Canadian tax filing. Nobody in Korea needs to know.

You have nothing to worry about at all. I make about $1000.00 a month with a few websites and directories. The best thing about it is being over here. The U.S. can't tax it.
