Can anyone give some recommendations (and directions!) to some cool places in Itaewon for some after dinner relaxation? I've heard that there are some cool hookah bars in the Itaewon area, which would be awesome, as long as the music isn't too loud...

If you want hookah dinner, you should go to petras on the hill above pizza hut. If you want to smoke up, you should go for brixx.

BricX is in Itaewon.

BricXX is in Hongdae. Wink

Both are great places to chill out. The one in Itaewon is small and gets crowded (no seating for hookah service) between 11 and 12 on weekends, though you might be able to belly up and smoke at the bar. During the weekdays, there's usually places to sit for a small group or couple at any time.

B1 (old J-bar, next to the Hamilton Hotel) is also a cool place to hang for the after dinner set, but usually gets slammed on weekends around the same time. No hookahs, though.

bar bliss, which is just under the reggae bar, just past the subway/nike store area... is a really nice bar for wine, mood music and conversation. the wine isn't cheap but it's good stuff. a great date bar.

and i might add that the hookah bars here are generally THC free...

so in that, you're implying that anyone who smokes tobacco is a loser. is that what you meant?

In Hongdae: Exit Sangsu, Line 6, and walk towards Hongik University. Just before the 7-11 on your left, turn left down the narrow street. Bricxx is on your left.

For better service and more hookah flavors, go to Gr8. Exit Sangsu, Line 6, and walk towards Hongik University. Look on the right for Ska. Gr8 is above it. You'll get there just before the 7-11 on the left.

You can get to both of these bars from the Hongik Uni. Station by walking to Hongik University and taking a right when you get to the uni. Going this direction, you'll turn right after the 7-11 on your right for Bricxx, and you'll look on your left just after 7-11 for Gr8.

Smoke it up....

It's not Itaewon, but theres a foot spa bar in Gangnam that's pretty good after foot slogging around the city.

Warm water spas under the table with a beer takes the edge of.
