well, i am not a biker,maybe 125 cc Mirage is good to ride from seoul to Geoje island ?My husband has few of those big CC bike in Canada, but i prefer him to ride a less cc bike here. Thank you for the help. |

For insurance, use AIG insurance in Yongsan. They speak English. |

are they sell the bike with good condition? i seen a couple of their ads, but not really understand, like they sell daelim magma for 400.000 won.
i don't know with this price the bike worth and able to ride to geoje ( 5-6 hour on the road). I prefer mirage ( hyusong ) better. what do you think ?Any better suggestion ?Of-course my husband know how to choice good one. however I am still worry about the route he has to take to geoje... and a junk bike can't tell for test drive 1/2 hour right ? |

a month ago, we lost our scooter , just right in front of our appartment's parking lots. we had made a police report, unfortunitely our scooter has no plate on it. but we have paper . And we think police can't do anything as the scooter has no plate on it , isn't it ? and if we give the our papper to police ( we think there is a series number of the scooter on the papper right ? ), then police might able to trace it, whenever who bought that scooter and wanna register the scooter for new plate will get caught ?
We are really do not understand the police system here in South korea. and we seen that police isn't care for missing scooter, as i seen plenty scooter run in the road without plate and no police to stop them or check them ( document.license.... etc ). |

A 125cc bike might make a 5- or 6-hour trip, but it would be extremely tiring. Those 125s just don't have much power. Furthermore, bikes aren't allowed on the expressway so the trip would have to be by regular highway.
If you're really interested in a motorcycle that will make a trip like that comfortably, you may want to look into one of Korea's few larger bikes (such as the Mirage V-Twin or, to stay with Hyosung, the Comet 250/650).
As for your scooter, you're not likely to see it again. |

bah, that's bs
i did a full-on cross-country tour of korea on my 125 cc daelim daystar. I did a full circle route of the country in 7 days and it was quite comfortable. Sure, a little bit of extra power wouldn't have hurt but it wasn't uncomfortable or anything. It just let me enjoy the beautiful scenery more and also kept me from killing myself. Also, you don't need a special korean motorcycle license for a bike at the 125 cc level. You just trade in your native driver's license for a korean one. Then you can go legal and save yourself a lot of headaches if you get into an accident. |

I'd never consider a longer trip with one of my 125s. Then again, I've been riding for several years and I'm a bit more accustomed to power; I'm also a larger individual, and that sure does take its toll on the engine when the engine's so small. |
