Could anyone please give me the lowdown on what these positions/locations entail? I've finally narrowed my job search down to these two gigs.

They both offer comparable vacation, but Gyeonngi offers more cash, by about 200,000/month.

In Mokpo, I'd have to teach at several schools. In Gyeonngi, only one. Of course this is a case of city vs rural, but honestly I don't care one way or the other.

Mokpo supposedly has a tightly knit community of foreigners, whereas in Gyeonngi I'd be the only foreign teacher. Would it be difficult to meet other foreigners here?

What would you do, given these two options?

Gyeonggi is a big province.
Which town/city specifically?

Do you know where you'd be in Gyeonggi? It's a pretty big place: do you choose where you go? Although I live down here near Mokpo, I'd say go for Gyeonggi-do if you can choose your location. AND you get more money? That's interesting.

It's a crapshoot, though: you might end up in a shthole if you let them place you.

Location would be my last worry. Gyeonggi sems to be better: more money, one school instead of a bunch. As far as Gyonggi goes, where in gyeonggi? As was stated, its a province/state instead of just a small town. Admittedly Mokpo is probably a nice place to be. Close to the sea, better climate, etc.

btw, the contract is through GEPIK. I've heard some complaints but my main concern about taking a job in Korea is not being paid or being released early. They don't seem to have those problems, so I may bite the bullet and go with them.

The school is located in Eunjye (?)"Location & nearest subway line: Pyeongtaek in Gyeonggi, Seojeongri station(on the subway line 1, few stops away from Suwon station." Again, I don't know much about this area, so any info would be of tremendous help!

Thanks,
JTC
