So I'm meeting a first year boys class for the first time today.
Usual stuff, asking them questions, writing stuff on the chalkboard in white chalk.
I have a nice wide podium.
I surreptitiously adjusted myself.
I was wearing dark grey slacks.

You can guess the rest. Embarassed

I think we need more details. Did they start giggling? Was a student brave enough to tell you? Or did you walk out in the hall and the faux pax was discovered by another teacher?

You really want me to re-live one of the most embarassing moments in my entire adult life huh?

Ok, well, they stifled themselves for the first few minutes, but every time I turned back from the board, someone near the back with a better view would be leaning over to tell their friend. Finally, one boy couldn't hold himself, and in one explosive, contagious moment of laughter, every boy burst out laughing, a few pointing. Then, and only then, did I finally realize what was going on. I spent the rest of class behind the podium. A the end of class, I held my teachers notebook in front of me and made a beeline for the bathroom. In the forty seconds or so that it took me to smudge the white powder around enough so you couldn't actually see my fingers anymore, the entire school of 700 kids spread across three unattached buildings knew exactly what had happened.

Tomorrow is not going to be fun...

It? I wish that it were only "it". Nope, the whole package. Looked like I was palming a basketball....

If that was video taped, that would've been the AFV's $100K grand prize winner. Laughing
