There are 83 questions. They ask you to sign up at the end of the test but you can use a fake email address if you want. You will still get the score.

They claim I know 32634 words. Better than expected.

I like word quizzes but that one's a bit wack. Involves a lot of educated guesswork as opposed to words you actually "know."

Anyway, who can beat my 51282?

I guess each word on the test has a different value. So if you get a difficult question right, you get more points than getting an easy one right. Then they use a sample to estimate how many words you know by comparison. But that's only my guess.

According to a study, you are able to understand 99% of words in academic texts if your vocab size is about 44,000 words. 87,000 gives you approximately 100%. What's interesting is 5,000 words cover almost 90%.

It's wrong and it's broken. There is no way I know this many words...by half!
It says, 68,598 words. Yeah, right. I would guess I know maybe 40k. And for hollywoodaction. You might be right. I can mange quite well in several languages, greek being one.
