Who cares? He was a boring crappy superhero. It's not like they killed the Silver Surfer.

Yeah, it was great seeing that great Aryan fighting the degenerate mud-blooded Nazis in WWII.

Wasn't there a storyline recently where all the Marvel heroes split into two warring factions, one trying to cooperate with the government to allow themselves to be tracked at all times, and the other saying they don't want the government controlling them? Captain America didn't want the government running their lives, which kind of puts him at odds with all the patriotic Americans who support the Patriot Act and are willing to surrender their freedom and rights in the name of freedom and rights. I say he was a traitor in his last few years...facetiously, of course.

Silver Surfer is boring? Have a look at the trailer for: Fantastic Four...Rise of the Silver Surfer. It looks pretty cool. Here it is:

Race traitor- you are referring to Ultimates vs. X-men. While the war did not start as a result of that, I'll be damned if it didn't end up that way. I highly recommend that series to anyone, as it is really relevant. Besides, its always cool to see Nick Fury and Black Widow protecting George Bush, or to see Condoleeza rice condemning mutant terrorists.

The basic story: Magneto destroys the Brooklyn bridge and kills 1000 people. This is notable as Charles Xavier had told the government that Magneto was dead- killed by the x-men. Well, when Magneto comes back, the x-men are to be hunted as allies of the terrorist Brotherhood of Mutants cells. The hunters in this case are S.H.I.E.L.D. (Capt. America, Thor, Quicksilver, Scarlet witch, hawkeye, etc).
The kick with this comic is how much the writers made it to mimic the current political situation in the US.

Actually, RACETRAITOR has it right.

Captain America Killed Off in Latest Comic

Quote:
The storyline was hatched last March, when writers pitted superheroes against one another in a war over civil liberties that began with the U.S. government requiring the comic crusaders to register their secret identities.

The "superest!" The kind that shows barvery. He's always been a mere mortal, but he was always brave enough to fight anyway.

Captain America is a f&cking god amongst comic heros. Those other posers launch lazers out of their arses and the old cap just keeps on slugging with his shield. His beginning is a crippled little geek who volunteered to be part of a super soldier experiment in ww2 and ends up getting launched into the north pole by the Red Skull.

RIP..

*Sobs*

Poor old Cap.....

Heh, good on Marvel for this outrageous publicity stunt. Cap will be throwing his mighty shield again within the year.
