after a while it's gets a little tiring of sitting at my desk all day and maybe teaching 1 or two classes. I don't want it to look like i'm surfing the internet all day or watching tv... but what can you do.....
oh well... at least i'm not sleeping

any good website suggestions?

How about taking an online TEFL/TESL course for $100? Lots of 1-hour video units. It probably isn't going to hurt your resume (although the hours are so low, places who check might not consider it), and you might learn something:

LOL! I'm in the same boat. Yesterday, I had zero classes, due to testing. Today, I had one. But, as a public schoo teacher, I have to stick around.....................................if I did not teach 22 different classes a week, I would put way more into the planning, but I have not even had a first class with half of my students yet.....and I already know what I'm goign to do.

Taking an online TEFL would not be a bad idea, espeically when we have jack crap to do. In fact, I know a pretty solid program. The London Teachers Training College. They have all types of programs (both online and residential)...........and, they are affordable. I'm probably going to do the TESOL Diploma (seeing as how those are usualy through distance learning anyway....i.e. Tefl Intl............I'm just going to skip the certificate, and get the diploma)

Gotta get back to watching the paint dry........... Rolling Eyes

My contract states I don't have to be at school on test days.

Still have to be there over summer/winter but I just don't show up on occasions or leave at midday. No one had me up on it.

My problem isn't so much the doing nothing...because I am rather psyched about playing warcraft in the middle of the day; it's the time frame. Seocho-gu, this year, is really hard-lining this "you have to leave at 4:30" bullshit.

Sounds awesome. Better hunker down for some serious gaming then, eh? You'll hit level 70 before you know it Smile[/list]

But granted - sometimes just sitting at work doing nothing is super boring. I mean, you start to forget things (in your field) instead of learning more and developing career wise aquireing new skills - I am saying about technical fields not teaching English. If that is the case, better change the work place. However that may not be easy Sad

You could brush up your Korean online, I think there are some new and better websites around.

You could play games online - www.itsyourturn.com is a good site because you can take up to a month to play a game so interruptions are no problem. When I am quiet in my office I play chess.

I'm only scheduled for thirteen classes a week. One day I'm done at nine and another day by noon. And I'm going to be getting paid extra to teach a class after school for the next five weeks. I play a lot of online Poker.
