Here's mine:

1) The Apprentice - can't get enough of it! the best reality television ever ... Graduated from Cornell Business School - 'Lets see how many hotdogs you can sell!"

2) South Park - Cartman is the funniest character ever on television; towlie kiks ass too - "wanna get high?"

3) Airwolf - and they still show it here in korea ... the theme music can never get too redundant because it's too great

Never liked t.v. too much but was into it with some shows when younger:

1. Magnum P.I. - My friends and I saw and re-lived every episode
2. Three's Company - quickly got old but my gawd how we laughed the first time around!!!
3. Star Trek: Next Generation - Bolded gave up t.v. when this series ended, back in my college days, and I haven't watched t.v. since (except the Internet began allowing one to watch half a season a night, and without commercial interruptions, so I've seen on the 'net Scrubs, Lost, The Amazing Race, two of the Survivor series and for nostalgia the new Battlestar Galactica... no other series in the last ten years. Have I been missing much? Didn't think so.).

Honorable Mention: Kids in the Hall, Homicide: Life on the Street, Scrubs

I have a very short attention span, so I love TV.
My all-time favorite shows are...
the Wire (best writing on TV, IMHO),
South Park (though to be fair, there's been many terrible episodes),
and the Simpsons. Sure, it's in its dotage now, but it was one of the best, ever.

Meh... I'm not all nostalgic & stuff, so "the best" for me usually means the best right now.

The major exception, of course, being The Simpsons.

#1 right now.. Grey's Anatomy. I just finished watching the season finale of season 2 on CGV. (Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Denny!!! Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad)

#2 Simpsons

#3...Lost seasons 1 & 2

1. Cheers (both during and after Diane)
2. Ken Burns' Civil War
3. (And since I left home) West Wing

1 and 2 are great choices. If I was stuck watching one show the rest of my life, it would definitely be MST3k.

By the way, the newest episode of South Park was great.
