Halifax and NS should be ashamed of themselves for backing out on the 2014 games. Im ashamed to have been born and raised there. |

Good for them, I would love to see the games come to Canada but for a city of 350,000 and a province of 1,000,000 to pay for a 1.7 Billion + games is just crazy. There was no way that little halifax could pay for that.
Plus we all know that the reason they wanted the games was so they could build that stupid stadium so they could tyry and get a CFL team. Total BS. If you can't build a stadium with private money you shouldn't be building it. |

i know and with the call center (the only companies who hire in NS) only paying $9 per hour, how the hell can halifax support a CFL team? they would have folded in 1 season.
the reason im disappointed is because they won the bid, and now backed out |

Good for them... better to think for the long term than for temporary glory.. numbers (as usual) were much higher than anticipated so they actually did the smart thing by backing out...
Too bad more cities didn't do the same... |

Yup, they really pisse*d away 13+ million dollars on the bid. The city has real problems in every area, they should never even have dreamed of having these games. |
