Do not watch if you are offended by Nicholas Cage being a d*ck to children, a bear punching a woman, or "NOOOOOOO NOT THE BEEEEEES!!! MY EYEEEEEEEES ARRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!"
Consider this my gift from me to you. Try not to wet yourself from laughing so hard. |

| That's the best ham and cheese sandwich I've seen in a while. If I ever open a restaurant, I'm calling the croc monsieur "the Wicker Man." |

| Is this a remake? the original was pretty damn scary. If Nicolas Cage is in it, its going to be funny. Con Air nearly killed me. |

| I have to say, going in, I was skeptical. But with no context, it is pretty damn amusing. I said to myself, "wow, there IS a bear punching some chick out. Cool." |

| That movie was god awful. The ending sucked worse than the rest of it. |

It's like Fantasy Island gone bad. Picture an island donimated by women who play with Nicholas Cage's head.
If you're in the mood for a weird movie. watch this one. |

| He hits a lot of fat white women. Given he's married a hot young Korean thing, I see this movie as something of an allegory about the mental landscape in which male ESL teachers inhabit. It all seems so easy for us, it's an island of delight, we rage against the fat white women we used to work so hard to get but rebuffed us, we're surrounded by all these cookie cutter children we loathe, our employers just really want anyone who can fit into the bear suit and dance around, but in the end the hot young Korean things don't really want us, they're duplicitous, and having to sit on subways watching them strut about in their miniskirts and kneesocks, well, we internally cry like Cage in a cage of bees... MY EYES MY EYES. |

And K-gals wears masks (make-up) 'til they're about 30 and then you see their real faces. Urgh! Actually, the whole way young K gals rope in naive K guys is so deceptive too. |

The original "Wicker Man" is an amzing movie and a cult classic, very scary and a favorite in film school.

I wouldn't watch this new one, even at gunpoint. |

| I found it fairly unnerving even without mind-altering substances. But then I love that sort of story and am able to totally get into it. Okay, maybe not 'scary' like The Exorcist was scary. That damn movie had an almost traumatic impact on my delicate young mind first time I saw it. But Wicker Man (the original) was certainly suspenseful and dreadful in its own way. The Exorcist made me fear the Devil and possession and evil spirits. The Wicker Man made me fear hippies and Irish Travellers and those silly nitwit Wiccans. |
