I spent quite a while looking for a post telling me about doing a visa run to Hong Kong, but I didn't find any. Now, it is over and this post is to let anyone else who needs to make a visa run to Hong Kong know what he or she has to do.
After you go through immigration, make your way to the Airport Express desk. Buy a ticket and take the Airport Express train to Hong Kong station (it is the last stop on the express train). Walk over to Central Station (just a transfer) and take either the blue or red line to Admiral Station.
At Admiral Station use exit A. Once you get outside turn either to your left or your right, (do not cross the street) it doesn't matter which way, and take the escalator up into the Mall.
Follow the signs that take you to the Queensway. When you get to the Queensway follow the signs to the Finance Center (you will not have to leave the inside of the building at all). When you get to the Finance Center take the elevator to the 5th floor and there you are.
I hope this helps the next person who has to do a random visa run in Hong Kong.

| Wow this post seems really helpful. Can anyone confirm this or done it recently? Just go one day and get the visa the next? I want to do a visa run there too. There'd be plenty of places to stay around without a reservation right? I went like that (no reservation) to Osaka and it worked fine... |

I don't know about not having trouble getting a place to stay.. I was there in late January, and the hotel I had reservations for didn't have a room for me, and after waiting around a bit, they gave me an upgrade to "business class"..
better safe than sorry though, you never know.. if you can't find a place, just go to a bar.. open all night |
