Hey there,

I'm new to this board, and Im planning on moving to Seoul in a few months. I have an English and education degree so hopefully I will be pulling in some sweet coin. I just had a question-- how do Korean women typically like Western guys?

I'm not asking anyone to generalize an entire culture, but how do they behave in relationships, typically? Are they usually forward at bars, etc, or do you usually have to go and talk to them? Are many wary of foreigners, etc? I'm a pretty good looking guy, and I have no trouble meeting girls in Canada, but I was wondering if they would be intimidated by my appearance? I'm almost 6'7, and very athletic, blonde hair, blue eyes. Would I seem very approachable to a pretty Korean girl?

Korean women are like women back at home. They like attractive men who are interesting and can make them laugh. If you've had a GF back in North America, you can find one here. If you're a boorish slob and blame everyone but yourself for your lack of dating success, then don't expect to be a prince here.

They're a little bit shy as regards dating a whitey and there is a high probability one will encounter parental issues. Korean women are school from birth that their duty is to marry and repay their parents by birthing Korean sons. Many Korean women will quickly realize they can't possibly have a long term relationship with you and terminate the relationship after a rather brief amount of time (3 dates).

This isn't Thailand or the Philippines. Very few Korean women are looking for their ticket off of this RoK. Koreans love Korea, everything is perfect for them here, and can hardly imagine a life of anything else.

If she's pretty and rich: She has no reason to leave Korea. People already treat her like a queen.

If she's not so pretty and comes from a poor background: Just flash the passport and buy her a few drinks. She's all yours!!!
