I'd like suggestions for an itinerary. He's arriving Friday and leaving on Monday. If all goes to plan I'll meet him in my area at 8pm. We plan on having bulgogi/kalbi/samgyapsal, then doing bar crawl before crashing at my apt. Saturday night he has booked some cheapo hotel off the net a little east of Dongdaemun (despite me telling hom not to coz we could just crash at a Jimjilbang/yeogwan, not to worry). I'd like to hike Inwangsan then check out Insadong/Jongnothen during the day and head to Itaewon at night. He's been living in Tokyo and has no expectations other than to eat some good bbq beef and drink some beer! I'll stay in Seoul on the Sat night but will head back to my place late Sun night. Would really like to go to DMZ but imagine we'll be too hungover/tired.

What are other suggestions of things to do, places to visit?

And?

edit: Sorry, that's bad. Seems like you've got a decent weekend planned so far. How you planning on getting around? No car, right? You don't wanna waste too much time travelling around, correct?

Hey, can you give any more info on the shooting thing? I've been thinking about checking something like that out for a while without much luck finding anything.

It's nearish to Taerung station.Big park there with shooting complex.

I went an age ago,ask Seoul tourism for details.

There are shooting ranges dotted about.1 in Mokdong,I believe. The 1 in Busan has magnum handguns.

They are pricey though.

60K for a Uzi(or similar) clip of 30 rounds or so.Couple of bursts and you're done.

I think you have some good ideas. If he's here from Japan, he should see things he can't see back home. The markets are a great idea, and so are the mountains. Just wandering around anywhere near Dongdaemoon is an experience.
