I realise that this is a very long shot, but here goes....

I love being in boats, and after a recent visit to Masan I saw the sea, well a bay, for the first time in months. I would love to organise a night or day, or both on a commercial fishing boat.

Willing to haul stuff, be stuck by fish, move crates etc. for free.

Dont spose anybody here knows where such a thing can be organised do they?

Show up bright and early (4 AM?) like a Mexican day laborer.

Just my idea. Maybe someone else has a better one.

I'd like to know how that works out for you. Me and some friends have been talking about trying to setup some charter fishing.....

I did this in Alaska. I just walked the docks everyday till I found someone who needed help. Up there it is seasonal, so they might want not want to bother with someone for just one day.

Wait, Korea isn't organized to have "fishing seasons".

It would probably help alot of you spoke Korean. Commercial fishing is dangerous. People die. You need to be able to communiate with the crew.

Diesnt matter. You cnt volunteer in orphanages because its not covered by your visa. You havd an E2 which allows you to teach English. Nothing else.

Though I REALLY doubty immigration ever checks the fishing ports. You would be fine.
