Can you guys help me out and help me make a list of common english mistakes found in Korea.

Off the top of my head...hurt and sick. My arm is sick.
Fun and funny.
Bored and boring.

Help me out people. We can all use this as an intro/2nd week class for uni or H.S.

Saying "nice to meet you" instead of a hello. I hate when people pass me on the street and all they say is "nice to meet you". They haven't met me! They only saw me. Also, saying it after meeting already.

I'll keep thinking. I'm sure there are plenty more...

1. Using "until now" to mean something like "up to now." For example, "I've been a senior manager from 2002 until now" (even though nothing is changing).

2. Using "frankly speaking" when it is not necessary.

3. Using "nowadays" to mean "recently", "lately", or "now." My colleague pointed out that I now do this as well because I'm picking up my students' habits.

4. Using the words "staffs" and "informations" in the plural.

Numbers.
50,000 is not fifty thousand, it's fifty ten thousand.
It come from using a 10,000 base instead of a 1,000 base.

I have a co-teacher who can't stop saying, change-ed, instead of changed.

He for she, and she for he.

Past tense of 'to be'. "They was", "I am went", "He is gone to the store on saturday",

"She was go" (she went)

The "Ultra English" textbook series includes a section on "common mistakes" in each chapter. I've found the examples to be quite practical.

"You should have your report cards done until Thursday", instead of "by Thursday." I've heard this from a couple of my supervisors.

obaeet - throw up
I'm going to home - I'm going home.
going to abroad - going abroad
stayed in there - stayed there
went to trip - went on a trip
loan - borrow ex. Can you borrow me some money?

"later" as in, "I'll be there 20 minutes later" as opposed to "I'll be there in 20 minutes."

My biggest pet peeve is dropping the endings off of words, particularly the -s. My 1st graders try to tell me we smell with our "no." Acck. Even my boss does it all the time, and her English is otherwise very good.
