For all CANADIAN teachers in South Korea!

The Canadian Embassy will be hosting a pub night for Canadian teachers this coming Thursday, March 15th (19h00 - 21h00) at Big Rock Restaurant / Bar in Kangnam. The Embassy will be providing drinks (Alberta micro-brewery draft beer) and snacks. The goal is to increase linkages between Canadian teachers and between teachers and the Embassy. The Ambassador will be in attendance, as will Consular officials (if you have any questions, bring them). Otherwise, just come and share a drink with Ambassador Grinius...

There is no cost to participate, but space is very limited (maximum 100 people). Canadian citizens only -- you must show proof of citizenship. If interested, please RSVP to Celine Kim at the Embassy at celine.kim -- at -- international.gc.ca

Maybe this has changed because they only had 40 people registered, but you had to register by yesterday.

Thursday night, huh?

I guess they are only interested in increasing links between TEACHERS WHO LIVE IN SEOUL and the embassy.

Well, the embassy is in Seoul, so it makes sense. They can't do it in every city and most teachers work in Seoul.

Except that they could have done it on a night when people could have traveled... Makes sense to have it in Seoul, but it makes more sense to have it when most of us aren't working.

Oooooo... good argument, you win. Maybe they couldn't get it on a weekend, who knows. I will ask the guys why they did it on a Thursday.

That's what I was getting at. I don't care if it's in Seoul. I care that it has been scheduled so that pretty much only people who live in Seoul can attend.
