The 'Middle Eastern Race', what are you on about!! The 'White Race', again strange and meaningless. The 'Indian Race', you really are scraping the barrel and clueless.
It is a real shame that the eduators aren't educated themselves!

Racial characteristics are no more than physical. Genetics has shown that to be true.
That is to say, "race" exists as long as it's used to refer to physical characteristics. Scientists have shown that the theory of race as some sort of genetic link of proximity is clearly invalidated by genetic studies of people living together in a country, sharing physical attributes, but genetically different, some more related to people far aflung. No surprise when you consider how DYNAMIC our history actually is, and claims to purity in race is simply attempts at cultural hegemony and forgotten history. |

'race' from a dictionary:
* a group of persons related by common descent or heredity.
* a group of tribes or peoples forming an ethnic stock: the Slavic race.
* any people united by common history, language, cultural traits, etc.: the Dutch race.
Whether races are objective features of reality or not, Travelous Maximus's use of the term 'race' appears defensible to me. He also said "just for fun" and I suspect you probably spoilt his fun with your politically-correct shit. There's always one.
Countries are also social constructs. Nation states are not objective features of reality either, yet if Travelous Maximus had asked "what country are you from?" I doubt you'd find that so controversial. But of course, one must get one's knickers in a twist over the word 'race'.....  |
