I know this is a lo-technology question, and maybe not what was intended to be posted in this forum, but I was just wondering...
Has anyone here ever bought one of those big-framed haleobeoji bikes? I mean the really long ones with a single speed that look like the adjeoshi welded it together himself?
I am interested. But my question is, do you think it would be possible to sort of 'pimp' this sort of bike? I mean, put new rims and tires, good gears and deraileurs, etc.. on it while utilizing that big frame? I want to make a touring bike, and from what I've read, the best kind of bike for this has a really long wheelbase like the haleobeoji bikes. Unfortunately all I can find at the bike shops around here are super cheap moutain bikes with suspensions, or *some* of the shops say they can order me a good touring bike, but it seems like the cost will be prohibitive.
Any bike experts ever pimped an haleobeoji's ride? Also would I just approach said grandfather and politely ask to buy his bike? Where does grandpa get his bike, or does he really make it himself? |

| but perhaps someone else asked the same question a year ago. Did anyone respond to that person's question? What did they say? |

I never saw a good answer.
Why would you want one of those things? I bet you could find out if you asked around the motorcycle shops near Chungmuro. I see a lot of old farts riding those bikes around there. |
