"Korea More Corrupt Than China"
It has been found that foreign businessmen from 13 Asian countries perceived Korea to be more corrupt than China. According to a survey conducted by the Political and Economic Risk Consultancy (PERC), a Hong Kong based consulting firm specializing in risk, Korea's corruption perceptions index not only has worsened to 6.30 from last year's 5.44, but it is also less than China's 6.29. In terms of rankings, China ranked seventh, and Korea came in eighth.

Wow, I find that hard to believe, having been ripped off by nearly everyone I met in China.

The title and the survey's actual findings talk about two different things. And even then, we are talking about a 0.01 difference between the PERCEIVED difference. Your article didn't even say it's percentage of error which most likely is higher that 0.01 points (on their scale) assuming this was actually correctly done. And it's done by a HONG KONG group. Even for you, this article is pathetic.

Also as far as corruption goes, foreign English teachers are too small fry to get hit my much corruption here. I would imagine that they'd be a more tempting target in China...

I am certainly no Korea apologist, but I must say that whoever answered the survey simply have no clue. Having lived in China for 3 and K for 1.5, IMO the corruption in China is on a scale that dwarfs Korea or any developed country. Simply not even debatable.

An unbelievably ridiculous survey result.

Korea more corrupt than Japan. Yes.

Korea more corrupt than (mainland) China. Rolling Eyes
