Anyone know where I can find a marks and spencer store in central seoul. I know there's one in Suwon, and Bundong sp??? but I was hoping for something a little closer to the train station. I heard there's one in Myeong Dong but I really don't know where that is. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks. |

Myeongdong is a tightly packed, high priced maze of stores and eating establishments. Your best bet would be to go when it's not busy (weekday) and just keep looking. It's almost impossible to give directions. |

Errr.. the Marks n Sparks is in the same building as Suwon station. You wouldn't even have to walk 50metres. How much closer do you want to get? |

I reckon you can go to Apgujeong or Gangnam for some realatively cheap brand-name clothes.
Also Mario store in Garibong (west side of Seoul - opposite from Gangnam) had factory outlet shops where you can get brand name stuff. There are other outlet stores there.
I guess 100,000 - 200,000 per piece would be OK price in this spots which is pretty reasonable indeed. For example, I spent 1,000,000 won for 3 pieces of clothing but they are nice. |

Most M&S here have no food, just a small selection of women's clothing. There USED to be one here in Bucheon, which I loved, as they had clothes that FIT me. I'm big busted and hipped, and a bit overweight. I'ma UK 14, US 12, which equals GIGANTIC in Korea..sigh..but they closed in December for no good reason!!
I have been told there is one in Myeong Dong, but damned if I could find it and I looked!
They have sizes from 0-22(or the one here did). Prices are high, usually about 68,000 for a patterned T Shirt, 168,000 for a sweater or pants. They had nice shoes, underwear, pyjamas, dressy and casual clothing. Nice seasonal jackets too. The one in Bucheon always had 50-70% Season End sales, and since it wasn't too popular I always got lots of stuff!
If you check M&S online, you can select International Locations and view the store listings.
Is it possible that anyone could help give directions to the one in MyeongDong? Any landmarks? Pretty please! |

Learn to love the Internet for shopping! Lol..I order online from the Gap, have it sent to expatexpress.com and they ship it to me. I always fudge the values of my order so I don't have to pay duty. Costs about $40 to ship to me here but I usually spend over a hundred on the gap so I get free shipping from them to the expat company. Also Figleaves.com is great for bras, panties, swimsuits, etc. Sexy, comfy stylish with international shipping. Returns are easy with them too if sizes are wrong. I generally get everything I need outside of Korea. Once a year head to HongKong and shop up a storm as well! I tend to go for business dress and a little more formal then casual. |

We're coming from Wonju. Thus, trying to find one closer to the train station at Cheongyangi. My friend who posted this (on my computer, thus my login) gets car sick on the bus, and would like to take the train in. We can't take the train from Wonju to Suwon.
I've been to the Shinsegai at the Express bus terminal (orange line?) and I haven't seen M&S. Is it in the same building or nearby, or am I thinking of a different location?
Thanks! My friend has been to one, but I never have. Looking forward to finally checking it out. |

Kamarakitty, thanks for mentioning the expatexpress.com service!!!
This is a lifesaver!!! I've been so disapointed at online shopping because some retailers will only ship domestic!
thanks a million!
Anybody knows if there would be the equivalent service for the UK? Great online stores in the UK and some will not ship international. |
