If you have a very strong suspicion that your boss has not been paying tax but has been deducting it from you and they keep fobbing you off when you ask for payslips....can the labor board determine this for sure?

Is it dangerous to have this info confirmed in such a way and then give em your notice to resign???

You could tell your director that your need payslips in order to file for a tax return. Let it be known that your planning a visit to the tax office to get the required forms and see what happens. Cool

Or actually contact the tax office. He'll get a call from them and suddenly feel like paying taxes. Or firing your arse.

Go to the tax office with pay stubs. The "nice, friendly" tax people just LOVES drop-ins who bring them a reason to get PO'd. Rolling Eyes
Just be prepared in case there's retaliation by your boss. Don't FEAR it- just be prepared for it. Gotta do what ya gotta do.

I spoke to the tax office and they mentioned that they haven't got a record of me paying tax. I just need to visit them soon.

Pension payments have to be paid in every month generally following your pay date. The school receives a bill for all of its registered workers. After your monthly salary is reported, the payment amount is constant.

Health insurance is paid in three month increments, in advance (although retroactive payments must be made as well if you start paying late).

The income tax is different. The tax office does NOT want monthly payments of these small amounts. Small businesses pay the tax twice per year.

Yes, but the taxes due for 2006 had to be in by now. It's easy to check up on it.

The taxman is gonna get his due.
