I guess noone's into the power of positive thinking.

If I were telepathic though, I'd love to tear up the pros on the WPT. An all-in check-raise against Phil Ivey when he tries to buy the pot would be orgasmic.

I read a lot of Marvel's stuff when I was a teen. I actually created a character who I thought was pretty cool. If anyone else read Marvel then you probably know who "Power Broker" was... that whole concept in the comic was actually kind of lame... but they did offer super strength, endurance and a high degree of invulnerability to anyone who could pay this huge sum of money.

Anyway my character was a mailman who won the lottery and underwent the treatment. So he was this super strong and huge mailman who could wade through machine gun fire and throw cars... but his costume was just a nylon stocking pullled over his head.... feh... not so cool in hindsight I guess.

Sad

I really think it would be awesome to do all that benchpress a locomotive, juggle Volkswagens, and fall from orbit unscathed stuff. It would kind of be like being MacGyver... but you'd have to apply your brains behind all that sheer physical strength to really accomplish cool stuff... and stuff... yeah...

That makes no sense.

Very Happy

You must look like Alicia Silverstone, then. Very Happy (I always thought there are five types of women, appearance-wise. Cute, pretty, beautiful, hot(sexy), and none of the above.)

Actually, that would be a cool story, including stocking.

Wow that's brilliant.

I'd like to be the best chef in the world (I'd be making veal parmesan right now). I don't know if that's a super power, but what the hey.

This website says my super power is super-strength: http://www.whatsyoursuperpower.com/

The Twilight Zone covers a few ideas in this thread. Of course things always go wrong for the characters who get what they want. Time travel and time freeze make good episodes.

Here's the time freeze one:

i already know.

power to stop time...

the power to stop time also comes with the ability to touch others, and have them 'un-freeze'

during this time time is frozen you do not age...so pretty much you can extend your life by hundreds of years.

also, steal things, walk onto planes and pull people's pants down at inoportune times.

I'd also like to have the power to click my heels together, say the name of a place, and go there. No more crappy airlines/service. Even in 1st class, you still can't shower or bathe. I feel so dirty when I fly. Rolling Eyes

I am stunned, STUNNED!, I say, that no one has yet mentioned flying.

To me, there is no other choice. Not by flapping my arms like a bird or with a rocket pack, of course, but just straight-up Superman-style.

I've always wanted to fly and frequently did in my dreams as a child. Given now that I reside in ROK the addition of speed flight would rock!

Being able to fly with the ability to move super-sonically. I could go home to Mom's for dinner, hang out with my family and best friend and be home in time for bed. Fly to Thailand for the weekend to dive. Visit all the places I want to travel and have unbelievable fun getting there.
