After three years, I guess the law of averages have "caughten" (take that John!) up with me.
As I related last month or so, after three years I finally had my first "yankee go home!" retard Korean. The stories on Dave's abound but it took me three years to get my first.
Today my GF and I encountered our first white-men-make-me-realize-I-have-a-small-pee-pee Korean male. My GF and I were walking back to my place and some grumbly, dirty, slovenly dressed guy was kind of dogging along next to us. He said something to my GF and then kind of veered off. I asked her what he said. She said "he asked me if you were my sex partner."
Geez. Class act all the way. First time in our relationship we've gotten that. We watched him walk into his grubby apartment building. Classic rabbit hutch.
My GF seemed a bit upset but I pointed out the man was to be pitied. We weren't just looking at his apartment. We were looking at his coffin. He's going to live and die in that cement rabbit hutch which passes for lower middle classed housing. He's going to spend the rest of his life watching younger men and women with English ability get promotions. He's never going to live in an actual house. He's never going to live by a lake or ocean. He's never going to know what it's like to pick cherries from a tree in his yard or eat vegetables out of his own garden. He's never going to even own a dryer. There's no high points in his life beyond cracking open a cheap bottle of soju and watching SBS on his one day a week off and his 4 days a year vacation.
Sad little man.
We probably should have started making out right there in front of him.
Anyone ever manage to get your GF to have a witty come back? I coached my GF (she's a bit of a risk taker herself if she has some good material behind her) to quip in future "Yes, and he's got a very, very large schlong."
(Let me state, when I eventually evacuate my GF back to the paradise of Canada, I will be surprised if I only get one untoward comment about my Asian partner from Canadian males once in three years.)

'small-man' syndrome is a significant part of the Korean males interaction with foreign men. If you disagree with that then you are female. Believe me. Men around the world are very conscious of any matters concerning the size of their John Thomas. It doesn't go away. It's always there. Men are pretty primal creatures.
Thank God I've nothing to worry about!! |

I am interested to know how Canada is of any special paradise compared to Korea. The shit stinks even more in your rabbit hole. I always found this story funny. Every year this one Canadian guy would get a Korean girlfriend. Every year he would expect the girl to move back to Canada with him. After that year they would break up as she realised how boring Canada really is. Oh I am sorry they do smoke the best weed in the world. That is something to be really proud of! |

Actually I was being sarcastic about Canada being a paradise. Using terms like "evacuate" and "paradise" would seem a little extreme. If you noticed I followed that up with a note that this kind of thing would go on in Canada as well. Yes, same shyte, just a different stink in the end.

And that's why most ESL teachers are loosers with nothing to do in their lives back in their country than some mediocre jobs & weed.
Social misfits. |

Your post doesn't make sense. If you read your post at the end of it you would be suprised if other people look untoward to your GF in Canada. To be honest I don't see what possible reason you would ever want to go back to flippin burgers in your country. Korea is a paradise for people like yourself. There is only so much weed you can smoke before your brain is fried.
Wake up and smell the coffee. It is not your fault you lead a meaningless existence. I would blame the maple leaf if I was you. Take it off the bags you carry. We all know if you put the flag on your back you are so retarded. Walking around saying your not American is something you can actually say your proud of, is what suprises me. Are they still giving fake degrees over there or what? That is a pretty good business to get into it seems like. A lot of Canadians seem to go for it.
God bless the queen! |

That's a little out of order, although I can see where you're coming from. At the end of the day, don't forget that there are many Americans who fall into the same category. And, I'm ashamed to admit it, but there also Englishmen who also fit. |

Well look at the threads "Why did you come to Korea?" "Why are you in Korea" "Why did you choose Korea" "Why are you staying in Korea" that are being made here on the board at least 1-2 times per month.
Most people did not come to Korea since its their career. Most people came to Korea for 1 year to pay off their debts, travel around asia, had bad job back home not getting enough money but working more than they work here, etc. And there is always some story with them.
Hence loosers.
I do not see a career teacher being trained in what he or she is doing and who decided when they started education that teaching English is their real and true calling and then doing it until retirement or something. For example, doctors or lawyers do know they want to do that. Well, a person like that - I would not call a looser.
A person who is teaching English in Korea because its a "good gig" and beats flipping burgers at home or going to the office liking easy schedule and free time - that's a looser. |
