I haven't been inside a church since, well, over a decade. Then I was forced. My new boss asked me if I wanted to go. I politely declined.
As a teenager I had to question, and I still do. What's the point? I figure it's like going to the movies, and the rituals are like shaving and taking a dump, which does make one feel better. As a lonely man church might have some appeal. Nah. It's too arbitrary. I was born a whatever. Mumsy cared, dadsy did not.
Oh, Allah. |

No. Just asked. Over a decade ago when I did a teacher internship I had to go. When they had communion, giving out that little round thing to eat, I declined and got nasty looks from old women.
My boss has an awesome poster I wish I could show here for a laugh. It's a big "feelings" poster. It has pictures of people angry, sad, happy, bored... and then one of "Jesus." What a mood that must be! |

| Nope. Not since I started thinking and was confident enough to challenge my mom. |

| It comes up a lot so I usually know how to answer when Koreans ask me about religion. I have no problem telling other atheists what I think of religion, but if a religious person or someone I don't know asks, I give them a very sugarcoated answer, explaining that Christianity is too much BS in the west (without mentioning Korean Christianity). |

Yes.
I was raised in a church and spent a lot of time growing up studying about it to see if I thought it was right. I concluded that it is, so I go to church. |

Well, 무신론자 is 'atheist'; 불가지론자 'agnostic'. Or you could try like a friend of mine and tell proselytisers '예수님 싫어'. |

Thanks. That last one is probably the easiest for me to remember and pronounce. |

I doubt it. If Jesus had been born in 1980 and was a poster on the board you'd probably get along just fine. |

Christian here. I look forward to going to church every week. It took me nearly ten years to decide and I explored just about every option out there, including paganism and atheism, but then what else are your twenties for?
