| Does anyone live in this area? Is it a nice enough place to live? How far is Amsa station from Jamsil station? Any advice much appreciated. |

I lived there for 2 years from ca. 2003-2004. About 5-10 minutes by subway to Jamsil. 10 mintues by cab.
Lots of bars/clubs in Cheonho. A few quite friendly to westerners... check out "1950's Western Bar" ... "California Bar". Not the best places, but can be fun from time to time. Also a tonne of clubs that don't allow foreigners in. Lots of young GI's around there cuz there's a little base just east of there. Nice movie theater near by. And the best, there are some UNBELIEVABLE fried chicken shacks. Called "Shabbu-shabbu" (or something like that) They are littered across just outside every subway stop from Cheonho to Kangdong. Lots of hogwans around there so it's easy to find foreigner if that's what you need. |
