Morning fellow Teachers,

Is there anyone who teaches in Bucheon or know of a local hangout?

Granted, I've only been in country a few weeks but as a public school teacher meeting other native speakers is surprisingly difficult. I think I've seen a whopping two foreigners. Though I know my hours are different then a typical hogwon schedule which could be why I don't see any.

Thanks

If you're near Emart (the one by city hall), then the Canada Buddy is in your neighborhood. I stop in for a burger regularly, and you're right about the hagwon/public school schedules. It seems the place only gets going well after I've gone home. I like Bucheon a lot, but it isn't 'going on' by any means...

Yeah, I agree with the previous poster. Canada Buddy has good beer.
They import Alley Cat Pale Ale from Canada. However I wouldn't
recommend their appetizers. They are awful. I don't know about the
burgers.

Also you can go to Goose Goose across from Bupyong Station. There
are usually quite a few whities there on a Friday night. Hang around at
the bar and you will be in a conversation with someone before you know
it.

I'll have to check out both this week then.

It's funny that my problems in Korea are atypical. The job is good. I enjoy seeing my co-workers. No shady business. Very Happy

How about the the new Cafe Nicolia?

Anyone been? I just saw the ad after following another thread across to worknplay. Looks like it's between GS plaza and the overpass heading towards Bucheon Stn.

They are without competition as the best burgers I've eaten in Korea!
