ok..ok...man I hate having to deal with this shiet month after month after month. I FINALLY got an official payslip today for the first time (I arrived here on August 20). So, the only reason I got a payslip is because I printed out a copy for this month as well as all of the previous months and gave them to the Korean teacher yesterday. I had done this before but nothing happened.

Soooooo, I get my payslip today. It's one piece of paper (not even the same format I gave her) and I ask where the others are for the previous months. She tells me they are referenced on this one. Sure enough it just lists a bunch of months Shocked

Ok..... I ask her to please use my format or at least give me a pay slip for each individual month as I wanted to use them to send money home. Now, on the format I made, I listed salary, income tax, pension, and health insurance deductions too. I have yet to be charged for any of these during my previous 7 months (despite demanding them numerous times) so I knew that I would be back-paying for them once she started deducting them.

Basically, what it comes down to is:

A) She enrolled me with the tax office using correct income (yet deducted 3% which I think may be too high)
B) She enrolled me with both the pension offices and insurance offices as having an income W700,000 less than actual income.

I noticed this on the payslip and did the calculations myself...then pointed this out to the Korean teacher. Later on in the day she explains to me that:

A) Yes, the boss enrolled with tax using full income
B) this is the doozy..The pension officer told her to claim my net income only and not the full amount. The Korean teacher explained that this meant deductions for housing, utilities and building maintenance from my gross income. My response was BULLSHIeT!!

I know these are just tactics to keep her portions of the payments lower, but what can I do to confirm this with the govt. agencies?

I guess my next move is to contact all of the said agencies myself.

Yeah, there's something fishy going on there. I hope they aren't deducting 700,000 won from your pay for utilities and such. Tell her that you've heard that they are supposed to report your full income to the pension and insurance offices. If she doesn't respond you'll have to go down to the offices and show them your contract showing how much your salary actually is. Your boss won't be happy to get a phone call from them so it's better you try to work it out with your boss first.
