my friend's cat posted this on another message board.

Hello silly humans.

Sadly, I'm posting today to inform you that this will be my very last post. Like many cats and dogs today, I've been eating recalled cat food for the last three months which has caused renal failure and, subsequently, terminal illness.

Of course, the people who own me had absolutely no way of knowing that they were feeding me poison. Even though I seem perfectly healthy right now, I've already reserved my spot at a cat farm down a nice country road somewhere where far away that can't come visit.

My final request is that you please follow the links above and also check this list of recalled pet food to see if you've been feeding your pet the same thing I've been eating. There are 40 brands on the list:

If you own a cat who has recently started throwing up, acting lethargic, drinking lots of water and refusing food, you might have a serious problem on your hands. Get to a vet as soon as possible and have blood work done. I personally know 5 people with sick pets right now.

Your friend,
