Last year they were out around first two weeks of April if I remember correctly... or was it May...? I think it's usually April, but but years summer lasted until the end of April, so I guess it was May last year then...

A good place to see them is Yeoido Park. You can access it from yeoido subway station in Seoul.

There were loads of them in Ilsan too when I lived there, if that's anywhere near you.... They last in full bloom for about a week, so the first week is the best time if you want to catch them for photo's. Then the second week they tend to become much thinner and start dying off...

I'm sure there are many other places to view them in Korea in addition to the ones I mentioned above.

I love how Koreans feel the need to augment the natural beauty of cherry blossoms with soft rock from the 80s

If you are in the area, the walk around the lake at Lotte World is nice when the blossoms are out.

Last year there was a festival at Yeoido, but I dont remember whether it was in March or April. They had the street blocked off along the waterfront and you could walk down behind the Korean Assembly building. There were lights pointed up at the trees in the evening which made for some good pictures.

So summer lasted until the end of April last year? Shocked I didn't think summer started before April. hmmm.
