Can anyone tell me where the central eletronics market is located in Busan, you know, the "Yongsan" of Busan? A place that sells everything that can be plugged in or runs off of batteries. Cameras, power supplies, computers, all computer widgets, etc.

For shits and giggles, I'd like to know as well... trying to make my meager savings last until payday, and a trip to Seoul is slightly out of my budget until then.

There are a few places but they tend to cost 10-25% more than Seoul. Whenever you mention Danawa prices to them they babble on for awhile...something about everything you get off danawa use cheap components and Youngsan guys have more overhead or something. LOL.

But location wise. I think, the biggest market is in Myung-ryung-dong Station (Line 1). It is a big warehouse across from the Lotte Dept. Store. There is an overpass that goes right into it just 50 m north of the station.

I was checking monitors in there yesterday and they were charging 295-315K for comparable at Danawa for around 265K...but you do save 4K for the shipping and peace of mind of shopping local...I guess.

Yes, thats fine if it's a little more expensive in Busan, considering that these sorts of things are not available in most parts of Korea and it costs about 100,000 won or more plus many hours of travel on a chilly rainy day like this Saturday is to be just to go get something small and cheap in Seoul like a power supply if your at a point far away from Seoul like Changwon, Busan, Ulsan, Masan, Jinhae, Pohang, etc. I just do not feel like going on a cool rainy day for what would be my 1st time to Seoul if it is possible to get a DC power supply in Busan which would cost me 10,000 won and only 2 hours travel RT. I just need a laptop power supply I can use for my Toshiba that runs on 15 volts and then spend all that extra time and money to Seoul when the weather is pleasant like in April or May.

Thanks a bunch guys for your helpful information, I went and struck gold today on this grey Saturday at Myeongnyun-dong station directly behind the Outback Steakhouse. As soon as I walked in the computer parts place, I talked to the small shop keeper 1st on the left and showed him my laptop and they fixed me up with a new power supply for 33,000 won in 5 minutes. Very friendly and speedy service. Perfect!

It should also be noted that this place appears to be a great place to get all sorts of PC parts and maybe even build your own system minus the language barrier present, assuming you do not speak Korean as I do not. Being that technical computer stuff is universal, you can get anything you need here despite language barrier. And it's a small and convenient place full of friendly computer technician/sales people.
