I think that bands have a bit of discomfort posting their shows in light of ....you know.
I'm curious though, who here goes to check out live bands? If you do go, is genre an issue or do you just want to see live music? |

I've gone to see some of the Philippino bands at the more expensive bars in Changwon. Some of the members are very talented but so much of their talent gets wasted on corny old Korean tunes that only appeal to the drunks who've made the expensive bar their last port of call. When do rock they can really rock, however. |

I think you know what I do. Most of the time I just go to punk shows, but reggae and ska is my real passion. That's why I've been plugging the Slackers show next week. |

At this point in my life, if it's good I'll see it, but I'm much more into Indie rock. However, I've gone to see Phillipino cover bands, DJ's, etc here. You get starved for it. |

What's the deal with all these Filipino bands? I've never met a single Filipino musician in my entire time here.
Also, the indie rock scene here is small, but people are figuring out how it's supposed to be done. Until now the only good live shows where people know what to do are punk or hardcore. |

There is a small but kewl music scene here in Cheongju. Although I am headed for adjoshidom, I still manage to sneak out and hang with the groovy types. I saw a death metal band a month or so ago, ahhh memories. |

Yeah, I can attest to that. Cheongju has some awesome bands. I'm sorry I haven't made it down there recently. |
