I want to ask the guys who have hired a Korean tutor to learn Korean: how much did you pay for them?
I hired one and I paid her 25,000won per hour
and all my Korean friends told me that was too expensive.
Is it? I really have no idea. |

Yes. Family Mart probably pays 3,000 an hour. You are surrounded by 49,000,000 Koreans.
Get the idea? |

Does family mart really pay 3,000 an hour? Is there anything like a minimum wa-gee here? |

It's 3,500 tops. No b.s. I have talked to enough people to know.
I was considering applying. Just kidding. But that's about what retail clerks make here.
Puts a little perspective on the teaching pay rate here, huh?
Don't know about the min wage, but I hope that's it. Feel bad for anyone working for less.
Info on that, anyone?
I'm always nice to them, because I recognize it takes them (insert big number of hours) to make what a EFL teacher makes in 1. |

Minimum wage in korea is under 3,000. Can't remember really. Maybe 2,500-2,700. |

...which make 700million won houses even more puzzling. |

I actually got paid by my korea tutor. I taught him and his wife 2 times a week, he taught me once. Then my free conversation partner taught me for 30 mins a day, 2 days a week. Pretty sweet deal. I also teach myself by using websites and learn from friends too. |

What if it's a very pretty cow, and you want free milk at a later time? |

Yup. For me, classrooms and self-study are counter-productive. One-on-one is much more effective. |
